I love G45 paper and their bird song inspired me to make an altered altoid tin diorama. Not only did it inspire me, but I created a SS swap on Splitcoaststampers just so others could get inspired! I removed the lid from the tin and glued it to the base of the main tin.  I gave the lid little legs from large faux pearls. The lanterns are hung from wire with little dragonfly brads glued on.  This has such a fun vintage flair, it was hard to part with! :)
It's amazing how fast time can go and how little can get posted! I've been a busy crafter working outside my little box.  I can't wait to share with you all the creations I've come up with. Stay tuned to see all the new things! :)

Creating within the Box

This is my craftroom. Welcome! I get an entire bedroom to myself! I’ve had the closet organizers and counter tops forever and whenever we move I just take them with me. Love how quick and easy these are to set up, they make any place home for me! For this room I have a south facing window and I don’t get a lot of sunlight–I love sunlight–so I’ve added undercounter light to each work area so it doesn’t feel as dark. I have 2 4′ countertops that are mounted with monster braces on the wall in the studs. So far they’ve held up well! The pink filing cabinet I acquired for free and took some krylon paint and sprayed it. I love it and when I get tired of the pink, I can always change it for cheap! On the back of my door is a clear shoe organizer that I made into an embellishment organizer. This is only a small grouping of my embellies, but they’re the ones I use the most so I made them easy to get to. Since the door to my craftroom stays shut, I have my plants in this room. My cats love to eat my plants and will decimate a plant in a few hours! Here my beauties are safe and I love how lush they are! Well that’s it, small but neat and tidy! Thanks for visiting my crafty space!

Altering The Box-- A Philly Cream Cheese Box!

Took an innocent looking philly cream cheese box and made it into a vintage trinket box.  I used DCWV paper that has a velvety feel to it.  I then added some rumpled edge ribbon and a thick velvety ribbon.  I upcycled a hair jewel for the center.  The little feet on the bottom are pearl beads I hot glued in place.  I love how this turned out!

Pinning in the Box

I've discovered a new love....the love of "hat pins" made from corsage pins and beads. <3I've also discovered you can make holders for these fun little creations right from your cricut!! So I dusted off my cricut and cut a fleur de lis from the "sophisticated" cartridge.  I cut 2 main designs and 2 shadows.  I then layered each with a foam dot so there would be space to put the pins in.  I love how simple, quick, and easy this was!

Altered French Fry Container: Monsters visit my Box

I had a little challenge today to alter something using glitter and ribbon.  My son had brought home a french fry container and I just couldn't resist transforming it into a little "monster" holder. Paper is by Reminisce "Me Hungry". I repurposed a bottle cap, end cap from a pillsbury biscuit container and some straight pins. I'm going to make a little album to put inside!
